hey kids! wait, that's probably awkward for me to call you guys that since pretty much everyone here is older than me. no, everyone IS, hahah. well, hay eh. well, life pretty much sucks right now. i have to whip out so many pieces for art before winter break (six to be exact). my art teacher was nagging me the other day how i've been working on the same piece for the longest time. it's like, "dude, chill. i've been out for the past three days". and then when he compares our class to this one kid who has like twelve pieces done already (i have nine), i find it unfair. i mean, no offense, but that kid's pieces don't require much effort because they are mixed media work. for example, the other day, i saw him placing random pieces of tape on a board, "artistically". yeah, while i'm here using water colors and creating a painting. it's just not the same. anyways, i'm probably going to have to come in to art for seminar for the rest of the year because i cannot be bothered to take anything home.

well, as you may or may not know, i have been obsessed with miami horror these past few weeks. haha, this particular song reminds me of prince's "when doves cry". i can't be the only one who thinks that. anyways, in general, he sounds like cut copy, new order, and daft punk combined to me. i think that's why i enjoy it so much, hah. yeah, and i just enjoy how this video looks so 80s when it was made in 2008.



this is another miami horror track. omg, isn't the main actor ridiculously gorgeous?! i think that's one of the reasons that i watch the music video so much =/. i'm such a creeper. haha, but yeah...this song just gives me a boost of energy whenever i hear it, so that's why i adore it.



haha, i remember when i didn't like dragonette two years ago because i hated them for doing a parody of calvin harris' "girls". but yeah, now i have the hugest girl crush on the lead singer. i mean, especially in this video. SHE LOOKS HOT. well, at least to me. i actually am enjoying their whole new album. i don't know, her singing voice is so cute to me =/.

+ also, i am enjoying lady gaga's "bad romance" video. i guess my love for her is coming back =S.

Listens to The Veils 33% of the time, mostly to the track The House She Lived In




SO A COUPLE MONTHS AGO, I noticed that my Veils listening percentage was dangerously close to being a whole third of my overall music listening. I thought to myself, WELL AMIR, why not make it 33% on the dot? That would be pretty cool, right?

This was after my 200,000th track slipped by me; I wanted it to be Nux Vomica for the lolz, but I totally missed it and had passed it by a couple thousand before I noticed, so actually I have no idea what my 200k milestone was. Oh well. Anyway, obviously after that, I needed a new goal.

After lots of listening, the Veils make up a whole 33% of all the music I've listened to ever since 2005.

More specifically, 70,650 tracks out of 217,044. MY PATHETIC, SLAVISH DEDICATION: LET ME SHOW YOU IT. Mission accomplished.

Now I kind of want to get them to 50% lol.

Big, big dilemma.

I've got four gigs this month and another one in december (marilyn manson, wahoooooo!) and did enough gigs this year already so there's really no need for me to go to another one and spend my precious money when I have already been spending a little too much this month, really. I'm supposed to be saving up for a new computer, goddammit.

But there's the thing. PLACEBO are playing, in december! In ahoy, on the 3th of december. That's pretty special to be because the first gig I ever went to was to placebo, in ahoy. I can't exactly remember the date but I do know for sure it was at the beginning of december, either the 3th or 4th or maybe 6th. That was exactly three years ago and a lot has changed since then, but my love for placebo never did. They were amazing live and it was just special and so, so wonderful. Going to see them again wouldn't just be ace, it would be a bit nostalgic, too. Yes, I think you can be nostalgic when you've went to a zillion gigs in between and you think back about the first, right?
Anyways, it's nearly fourty bucks and I've kind of already seen placebo at pukkelpop even though it wasn't as ace as it could be because I was standing so far off I could only watch on the video screens. But still, did techniqually see them.

What do you guys think? Opinions plz!
